"Breast cancer is a disease that attacks the tissue in one or both of your breasts. Breast cancer happens when cells stop working correctly, creating abnormal cells that grow uncontrollably. These cancer cells can form tumors and if left untreated, can spread to other parts of your body.  The disease occurs almost entirely in cisgender (cis) women.  It’s also possible for breast cancer not to cause any noticeable symptoms until the disease has developed more. Breast cancer screenings can help find breast cancer before you notice symptoms.  Follow more: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/cancer/breastcancer."

STD Testing

"The best thing to do when you find out you have an STD is to follow your doctor’s directions for treating it. You should also tell anyone you’re having sex with, so they can get tested and treatment if they need it. If you’re having a hard time dealing, leaning on your partner, a close friend, or family member may make you feel better. Counselors and therapists are trained to help you feel better. There are also a lot of online and in-person support groups for people living with STDs, which are safer to talk and who know what you’re going through.  Follow  more:  https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/stds-hiv-safer-sex/get-tested/ how-does-std-testingwork."

Health and Wellness

"You can’t take good care of yourself if you don’t take care of your sexual and reproductive health. This means getting to know your body and getting regular check-ups, as well as addressing any other issues that might pop up. Planned Parenthood Health Centers are here for you. Not sure if it’s time to make an appointment? We’ll help you figure it out.  One thing that stays the same, no matter how old you are, is building a good, honest relationship with your doctor or nurse. You can talk about healthy relationships and other parts of your emotional health during your wellness visit. The more honest you are, the better care you’ll get.  Follow more:  www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/health-and-welness/wellness-visit."

Low Income - No Alternatives

"At Planned Parenthood, we believe everyone, regardless of their race, their income, or where they live, deserves the best medical care and information available. More than four million people rely on Title X health centers every year.  This service includes already-marginalized communities — LGBTQ communities, people of color, and people with low incomes — who historically face barriers to care and are less likely to have health insurance.
